McKayla Rose Maroney, also known by the name 'Mackair Maroney', is a well-known American gymnast, who was awarded gold with the US Olympics gymnastics team as well as an individual silver medal in the vault competition in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. Because of her parents' participation in the sport, McKayla Maroney started studying gymnastics at a young age. Her vault was an elite expert and the only person to win and defend gold at two consecutive championships.
